tokidoki Nail Confetti in Savana

Here is my newest polish purchase tokidoki Nail Confetti. It is a gold glitter with a hint of pink. For some reason no matter how I photographed it I could barely pick up the pink. I personally am sad to see the tokidoki makeup line disappear, so I grabbed this little gem and I regret not picking up Stellina now. Stellina was too close to Julep's Chelsea for me but now I think it is different enough to really want it. I did find that this polish is quite rough, and bumpy but a couple coat of top coat seems to help a lot.

Julep Nail Vernis - Pippa

Pippa
This is Pippa and I recently traded Pippa for Lynn because Pippa is not really my color. But Pippa did give me nice coverage in two coats, this was the second or third creme color I have tried from Julep and I am impressed at how well they cover (except for Kelly.) The representation of color would be the photo with the flash. As much as it hurt to part with any of my Julep colors this one went to a home where it is wanted.

Julep Nail Vernis - Rose

Rose was in my June Julep Maven box and it is a very bright watermelon red or pink depending on how you see it. I was impressed by the formula of this polish because it covered very nicely in just one coat, I did apply two coats to cover up some of my mistakes but one would have been enough. I did have an issue trying to clean up my edges but just ignore them.

Sephora Haul #2

I may have gone a little crazy this month because my birthday is coming up and as most people know Sephora has a birthday gift for their beauty insiders. I couldn't resist ordering now what all did I happen to get for $50?

Whish Samples

Today I got a nice sized packed from Fedex and in it was samples from Whish. I was actually wanting to try this brand but I wasn't lucky enough to get it in my Birchbox. So I reached out the the company and they sent me two of their samples to try. They are generously size and the scent is amazing! They use all natural and organic ingredients and that made me like this company even more.

Everyday Minerals Haul #3

Everyday Minerals Brushes
So I have been stocking up on my new favorite makeup line. As well as a bunch of brushes so here is what I bought over 3 different orders:

August Birchbox #1

So this month I managed to get quite a few items I can really use. What did I get?

Boho Glam Mystery Box

Today I got my Boho Glam Mystery box from Julep. I personally love Julep and their polishes and I wish I could have gotten in on the Maven program from the beginning. Since I didn't I have settle for getting mystery boxes so that I can stock up on some of Julep's colors without paying full price for all of them. At $14 a bottle this brand can get quite expensive but they keep sucking me in with mystery boxes and the maven boxes. Unfortunately it looks like I am going to have to cancel Julep after the September box because I honestly can't find a way to update the shipping for an APO address even though customer service said they do ship to APO addresses. I plan on calling them next month and see what they can do for me, if they can't ship them to me I plan on sending them to my mother (so long as she doesn't steal them.) I would have to wait forever to get them but at least I would have them.

So what came in this box you ask? Well here it is:

L'Occitane Haul

So I finally got around to finding a local L'Occitane store here in Texas and went crazy, well as much as I could let myself. Just before I went and I sold a bunch of books and that left me with some spending money (this made my husband very, very happy.) So what all did I get?

L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream

L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream
I never heard of this brand before and I had reservations about the lavender smell. But I have found that is one of my favorite hand creams I have ever tried. It has a pleasant scent and it is not greasy at all. It absorbs into my skin really quickly and I now keep a tube in my night stand and use it nightly. I honestly can say I have fallen in love with this French company and I plan on going to one of their actual stores really soon. Hopefully I can visit one of the stores in France when we visit Paris next year.

Final opinion: I will be buying this and stocking up whenever I can!

LA Splash in Neon Craze

LA Splash in Neon Craze
Now I am not familiar with this brand at all, the only reason I bought this was it was on clearance and reminded me of a polish color I used to have about 10 years ago. People who know me well know that this is my favorite color, ever. My bedroom used to be decorated in this color green and bright blue, But since getting married I have given up my love for the bright decor. I really do love this color and I may pick up another bottle this weekend when I go to the store if they have it still.

Delizioso Skincare Mangosteen & Acai Super Anti-Aging Facial Cream

Delizioso Skincare Mangosteen & Acai Super Anti-Aging Facial Cream
I don't know how to put this but the smell is sickeningly disgusting. At first I thought okay maybe it is just the mangosteen in it and the smell will fade. No, it doesn't! It lingers forever on my hand and doesn't wash off and since it is a face cream I could never use it on my face. I honestly can say I have no clue how it works because the smell is so bad that I couldn't even use it. And this sample was supposed to be worth almost $20 and in my opinion it is worth less than a dollar. I guess I will have a nice little jar for other samples once I get rid of this stuff.

Final opinion: I will never buy this.

Beauty Army July Box #1

August Beauty Army Box #1
So what did I pick?

Freeman Beauty Feeling Beautiful Cucumber Peel Off Mask

Cucumber Peel Off Mask
This is a product that I got interested in after reading a fellow blogger's review. So when I was in my local Wal-Mart I found the travel size packet which looked like it could be use once or twice and I bought it. I went home and tried it that same day and I was thoroughly surprised at the consistency of the mask. The mask is very thick and sticky almost like honey and has a nice cucumber scent. The mask was a little tricky to apply at first because I started out with it going on too thick but once I figured out it, it got easier. As the mask starts to dry it gets really shiny like your skin is made of plastic. Once it dries completely (dry to the touch and no longer sticky) it is time to peel it off. I will say that this is the most entertaining face mask I have, even my husband gets a kick out of it. I start peeling it off (it is the most fun part) and I go fairly slowly because it does grab on to any hair it can find (no matter how hard I try to avoid my hair line and eyebrows.) After the entire mask is removed a quick rinse and my face feels so refreshed, clean, and soft.

Final opinion: I will keep buying this I already found a BOGO sale and picked up two full size tubes. This will definitely stay in my skin care routine unless I find a better mask out there.

Julep August Box

Julep Maven Box with Add-ons
 Here is what I got:

Julep Nail Vernis- America

Julep America
Since I wasn't certain of the coverage of this polish I went ahead and did two coats of Kate first before applying America. I loved how it turned out but I kept getting the corners of the stars caught and ended up ruining this mani by pulling them off. But I think a couple of coats of top coat and it should be fine next time.

Julep O Canada!

O Canada
So in honor of the Olympics I am trying to keep my nails painted with more patriotic colors, unfortunately I have no blue polish so it is not as patriotic for the USA but more for Canada. I have recently started to love glitter polish but I have found that I tend to peel the glitter polish off. So my first mani with this only lasted one day so I promptly redid my mani and made sure to add a nice amount of top coat to keep me from peeling it off. I have had problems with all of my glitter polish chipping really bad so I am not sure if this is how most glitter polishes are when worn alone.
